The Garden Route

The Garden Route on the South African South-Eastern Coastline extends from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to the Storms River in the Eastern Cape. Situated between the Indian Ocean and the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma Mountains. There is so much to see here you can create your own itinerary to include: Walking with lions, Sitting with Meerkats, Canopy tours, Hiking in Tsitsikamma National Park, Wolf , Big Cat , Elephant and Bird sanctuaries. There are several other attractions along the Garden Route and these can be worked into your itinerary.

Below are examples of the type of two popular itineraries.

3 Nights (4 Days)

DAY1
Through the Huguenot Tunnel towards Worcester along Route 62 the world's longest wine route. Wine tasting and lunch on the way to Oudtshoorn The Ostrich Baron Town for overnight.

DAY2
Visit the spectacular Cango Caves followed by a Wildlife Ranch to view crocodiles, lions, tigers, puma, jaguar and an opportunity to touch Cheetahs and Other Big Cats (optional), lunch on an Ostrich Farm before a scenic drive over the Outeniqua Pass to Knysna for overnight.

DAY 3
Touch and feed the Elephants at Knysna Elephant Park,  then cruise the Lagoon OR visit Birds of Eden and Monkey land before overnight in Mossel Bay.

DAY 4
Explore St Blaize Cave & Lighthouse then Dias Museum Complex before lunch in Swellendam meandering through the fruit growing region of Grabouw. Crossing Sir Lowry's Pass on our return to CapeTown.

Touch and feed the Elephants at Knysna Elephant Park, Leisure time to visit Knysna and Waterfront optional visit to Featherbed Nature Reserve. Lagoon Cruise and overnight in Knysna.

DAY 4 
Visit the world's largest Covered Aviary & Monkeyland, lunch in Plettenberg Bay. Along the coast overnight in Mossel Bay OR Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve for Lovely Scenery and Hikes.

DAY 5
